Paul Scofield as the Storyteller
Paul Scofield is a renowned actor of stage and screen. A much-loved performer in British theatre, he originated such classic roles as Sir Thomas More in A Man for All Seasons (for which he won the Academy Award for the film version) and Salieri in Amadeus. Mr. Scofield also received an Oscar nomination for his performance in the Robert Redford-directed Quiz Show and critical acclaim for Hamlet (with Mel Gibson) and Henry V (with Kenneth Branagh).

David Suchet as Aslan
Perhaps best known for his definitive portrayal of Agatha Christie’s Hercule Poirot, David Suchet is a consummate actor who regularly appears on stage (Amadeus), in films (A Perfect Murder, Harry & the Hendersons), and on television ("Moses," "Solomon," "Hunchback of Notre Dame," "Reilly: Ace of Spies"). Mr. Suchet has won such prestigious honors as the Ace Award, the BAFTA Award, the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival and the Critic’s Circle Award.

Victor Spinetti as Shift
Victor won Broadway’s Tony Award for his performance in Oh, What A Lovely War and has headlined in theatres worldwide. His movies include three with The Beatles (A Hard Day’s Night, Magical Mystery Tour and Help!), Zeffirelli’s The Taming of the Shrew with Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor, and The Return of the Pink Panther with Peter Sellers.

Andrew Sachs as Puzzle Andrew is best-known in the U.S.A . for his role as the hapless waiter Manuel in John Cleese’s classic British sitcom series “Fawlty Towers.” He is also one of England’s premier voice artists, narrating TV documentaries and reading many audio books, and is winner of the prestigious BBC Radio Times Performer of the Year Award.

Gwynn Beech as Tirian Born in Wales, Gwynn won a scholarship to London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. He has worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company, at the Old Vic Theatre and in London’s West End. His TV and film roles include “Departures” and Far From the Madding Crowd.

Philip Sully as Jewel
Philip has played several seasons with Britain’s Royal National Theatre, the RSC and the Old Vic. He has also worked extensively with the BBC Radio Drama Repertory Company, where his many roles have included Ishmael in “Moby Dick” and Diomedes in “Troilus and Cressida.”

Steven Webb as Eustace
Steven has been featured in several prestigious BBC television productions, including "The Magician’s House," "Hearts of Gold" and "Wives and Daughters." His London theatre credits include the title role in the musical Oliver. He also has provided voices for the Cabbage Patch Kids and Paddington Bear animated films.

Jade Williams as Jill Pole
Jade has a featured role in the Disney-ABC feature film Anne Frank. She has worked extensively in British TV and radio, and also played Young Cosette in the stage musical Les Misérables at the Palace Theatre, London.

Douglas Gresham, your host
Douglas Gresham is the son of novelists W.L. Gresham and Joy Davidman and the stepson of C.S. Lewis. His career has ranged from farming to radio and television presentation. He is now the artistic advisor to the C.S. Lewis Estate and is also a preacher, speaker and broadcaster. He and his wife, Merrie, run a nondenominational ministry from their home in Ireland. His autobiography, Lenten Lands, tells of his childhood with Joy Davidman and C.S. Lewis.
