Scott
Neal as Billy Budd
Scott trained with London’s famous Anna Scher Theatre and became a regular on
the long-running British TV police drama series, The Bill. He also played leading
roles in the movies Beautiful Thing and The Wonderland Experience.
Edward
Woodward as Captain Vere
Edward is best-known in the U.S. as the star of the CBS series The Equalizer,
where he received the Golden Globe Award as best actor. He also won an Emmy
for Remembering World War II. His other American TV movies include Merlin and
the Sword, Uncle Tom’s Cabin and A Christmas Carol. His many films include King
David, Who Dares Wins, Callan, Breaker Morant and Young Winston. Edward has
had a long and distinguished career in British theatre, and he was awarded the
Order of the British Empire in 1978.

Jones as John Claggart
Frontman with the ’60s pop group Manfred Mann, Paul moved into acting
and starred in musicals such as Kiss Me Kate with the Royal Shakespeare
Company and Guys and Dolls at London’s National Theatre, as well
as several plays and his own TV series, Uncle Jack. His films include
Privilege and The Committee.

Woodvine as Lieutenant Ratcliffe
John has appeared with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Royal National
Theatre and worked extensively on British television. His many films include
An American Werewolf in London, Wuthering Heights and Danny, Champion of the
World.
Brian
Greene as Dansker
Chicago-born Brian has been featured in films and such top-rated TV shows as
Hill Street Blues, MASH,Remington Steele and Quincy. He has starred in musicals
and plays in London’s West End and in Edinburgh, Scotland, but his favorite
kind of work is radio drama.
Chris
Emmett as Mr. Hockey
One of Britain’s leading voice artists, Chris has been a star of The News Huddlines
on BBC Radio for 24 years, and he also appears regularly on other TV and radio
shows. On stage, he has done everything from a Ben Jonson play dating from 1609
to Tom Stoppard’s Rough Crossing to Sugar Babies with Mickey Rooney at the Savoy
Theatre in London.
Robert
Young as Captain Graveling
Robert acted with Britain’s renowned Old Vic Theatre Company (appearing
in the USA with Judi Dench) before moving into TV and film directing.
His feature films include Fierce Creatures with John Cleese, and his BAFTA
award-winning television credits include GBH with Robert Lindsay and Michael
Palin, The Road to Santiago with Charlton Heston and Anthony Quinn, Jeeves
and Wooster with Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry, and The Infinite Worlds
of H. G. Wells for Hallmark.
