CO-STARS REUNITED Brian Blessed (Jean Valjean) and Toyah Willcox (Fantine) were delighted to meet up again at the "Les Misérables" sessions. They previously starred together on stage with great success in J. M. Barrie's classic play, "Peter Pan," with Toyah portraying a very energetic Peter Pan and Brian doubling the roles of Captain Hook and Mr. Darling.

IT'S RUMPOLE Leo McKern portrays Monsieur Gillenormand, the aristocratic grandfather of the story's young hero Marius. Mr McKern is an extremely distinguished stage actor and has also starred in many famous movies ranging from A Man For All Seasons and Ryan's Daughter to Ladyhawke and Help! with The Beatles. He is probably best known as "Rumpole Of The Bailey" from a long-running series of British TV movies, which has been shown all around the world. The entire cast and crew of "Les Misérables" felt honored and privileged to have the opportunity to work with this legendary artist.

WELCOME BACK TO SECRET GARDEN STAR Young Lily Milton, who portrayed Mary Lennox in Focus on the Family Radio Theatre's magical production of The Secret Garden, was thrilled to be invited back again to play the demanding role of young Cosette in Les Misérables. But there was a problem. Lily is still at school, and is only allowed to take a few days off from her studies each year — despite being a much-in-demand child actress. However, some careful juggling of the recording schedule allowed her to record her scenes on weekends.
